Claude Max 20x is now called Ultra. Anthropic’s help page confirms automatic migration for existing subscribers with no price change. A provider’s editorial note ties the new names to October 30, 2026; Nadali checked the current terms on October 31.
What to check
Only verified Ultra accounts have no five-hour limit. In Settings → Usage, the absence of a Current session bar means the account is verified. Verification is automatic; phone-number verification does not remove an unverified account’s temporary limit. A separate weekly Fable cap and possible additional restrictions remain.
The pricing page lists Ultra’s weekly limit at 10× Pro and a price of $200 per month before applicable taxes. The help page specifies web subscriptions; mobile pricing may differ. This is not an unlimited plan.
Who benefits
Business owners and self-employed people already using this individual subscription for lengthy tasks. This is not a change to an organizational plan or API fast mode.
Our editorial advice: before preparing a large report, check remaining capacity, split work into intermediate deliverables and leave time for human review. Do not promise a client a deadline solely because one limit indicator has disappeared.
Limits and takeaway
Nadali has not tested the subscription. The exact schedule for applying the change to every account has not been established; check your own interface. Removing a short-term limit does not demonstrate time savings: assess the complete workflow, including corrections, using our small-pilot guide.
