Zoom adds Virtual Agent data to CX Insights: what to check

Zoom reports Virtual Agent data support in CX Insights. Check eligibility, data handling and one self-service gap before changing your help content.

Zoom’s 17 October 2026 release notes list support for Zoom Virtual Agent data in CX Insights under Released. The company says plain-language questions can analyse customer enquiries, virtual-agent responses, satisfaction and self-service shortcomings. This is a supplier-reported update: NADALI has not checked its availability in a customer account.

For a small business already using Zoom Virtual Agent, the practical question is which recurring enquiries deserve investigation before changing help content. A narrow review is a useful way to assess the news, without assuming time savings.

Who can use it

The CX Insights guide requires a Pro, Business or Education account plus a CX Insights add-on licence. Feature availability and visible data depend on licensing, connected sources and user roles. Assigning licences and configuring roles requires account-owner or admin privileges.

First, ask the responsible administrator to confirm access for your team and the relevant Virtual Agent data. A Zoom video-meeting subscription alone is insufficient grounds for planning this analysis.

What to check in a small sample

The following is an editorial review proposal. We have not measured its effectiveness.

  1. Choose one support issue. Product returns, for example. Record the period, channel, language, time zone and boundaries of the available dataset. Note which enquiries are missing: a summary should not silently become a claim about every customer.
  2. Ask a narrow question. A proposed example to adapt to a confirmed supported language: “During the selected week, which returns questions remained unresolved? Show the supporting evidence and unknown circumstances.” This is our editorial starting point, not a tested prompt or a guarantee of a particular response format.
  3. Reconcile the finding with the source. In authorised support records, compare several enquiries assigned to the theme with the agent’s answers and current policies. Separate missing help content from cases requiring a staff decision. Defer the conclusion if supporting evidence is insufficient.

After checking, agree one specific change with the content owner. Do not change a returns policy solely because a summary labels it a problem. If the correction concerns help content, use our knowledge-base maintenance process to check the active version and repeat test questions.

Data and limits

In its CX Insights subprocessors section, Zoom says some features use third-party AI models; subprocessors may retain content used to provide the service in the US or EEA for trust and safety for up to 30 days, or longer where required by law. This describes CX Insights, not a general Zoom AI Companion policy.

Agree the use of real enquiries under your organisation’s rules. Access to analytics does not automatically authorise sending it any personal details.

Ukrainian is absent from the 17-language CX Insights list in Zoom’s 20 June 2026 release notes; we have not confirmed its current support. Check the required language and feature availability in your own account before a pilot. A Released date does not establish completed rollout to every customer.

Practical takeaway: an existing Virtual Agent customer with the required access has a reason to investigate one self-service gap. Successfully generating a summary does not establish analytical accuracy or improved support.
