On October 16, 2026, OpenAI announced the rollout of ChatGPT Slides, allowing teams to create and jointly edit presentations in Space. For a small team preparing client proposals, the change offers a reason to try reviewing one shared deck with colleagues’ comments.
What changed
According to OpenAI’s official materials, teams can edit text, images, shapes and charts directly or ask ChatGPT to make changes. Shared comments and real-time collaboration are supported. An existing deck can guide style and layout.
Availability and limitations
The rollout covers eligible Pro, Business and Enterprise users with Space access, on the web and in the desktop app. This does not mean every account already has the feature.
Presenting inside ChatGPT is supported. On the web, OpenAI lists exports to PowerPoint, PDF and Google Slides; the desktop app can open a deck in installed PowerPoint or Keynote applications. Nadali has not tested the feature or export fidelity.
How a small business could assess it
Our editorial advice is to begin with a short internal presentation based on non-confidential, already approved facts. Assign one person to approve the final version. After AI edits, check every number, date and promise.
Illustrative example: a hotel team prepares a conference-room presentation. A manager checks capacity and rental terms, while a designer checks readability. This is a proposed scenario, not a deployment result or measured time saving.
Before sharing, review the participants and their permissions. If a client will receive an exported file, open that exact file and check fonts, charts and images.
Bottom line
The change concerns collaboration on presentations. Assess its value to your team through review time and corrections found during checking, rather than the speed of the first draft.
